Twice yearly, HorseSouth holds photography contests for aspiring, amateur or professional photographers.

Here are the catagories of interest to the editors at HorseSouth:

 

Equine: shots of horses, riders, or both in any discipline

Action: fast action of any genre related to other catagories

Southern Lifestyle: capture your definition of the south in a photo

Landscape: Outdoor features, including but not limited to plants, geological, climate related, barn scenes etc.

Wildlife: any wild animal indigenous to North America but making their habitat in the southern US. Including: AL, FL, GA, KY, LA, MD, MO, MS, NC, SC, TN, TX, VA, WV

Portrait: Individuals or groups taken in the south with particular attention to equestrian, rural, agricultural, or southern flair.

Partners: Your definition of "partnership"

Pets: Show us your pets at their best.

 

Rules:

 

Photographers must hold all rights to any submission, and will retain those rights. Model releases must be provided for any subject that is recognizable in the photo. Download form HERE (coming soon).

Minor (under 18) photographers are welcome but must have parental consent to participate.

One photograph per catagory. A single photograph can be entered into only one catagory

 

Deadline for entry: November 20th, 2009
